Sanjay Mehta

Completed Chartered Accountancy in 1989 and began my professional career shortly after. In 1995, I joined Shree Cement as Deputy Manager in the Accounts Department. Over the past 30 years, I have steadily advanced within the organization, rising to the position of President in 2017. Throughout my tenure, I have overseen a wide range of functions, including Corporate Affairs, Procurement, Commercial, Personal Administration, Human Resources, and IT. I have also played a significant role in key company milestones, such as land procurement across India since 2003, and the company’s production capacity expansion from 13 million tonnes to 60 million tonnes. I have served on the core administrative committee from 2013 to 2022, contributing to critical decision-making during a transformative period for the company. Additionally, I have been involved in multiple large-scale greenfield and brownfield projects, ensuring successful and timely execution, and was part of the team that set two world records for the fastest plant setup. My role in the acquisition of our first international plant, UCC in the UAE, marked a pivotal moment in Shree Cement’s global expansion.
