Saumya Engineer

Saumya Engineer is Chief Executive Officer of the Adhesives & Paints business at Astral Limited. Since joining the company in 2014, he has played a central role in expanding Astral’s footprint beyond pipes into adjacent sectors like adhesives, sealants, construction chemicals and decorative paints. Under his leadership, Astral’s adhesives business scaled towards height. He oversaw the acquisition and integration of Resinova Chemie and Seal-It UK, US aligning them under a unified strategy. Saumya also led Astral’s 2022 acquisition of Gem Paints, and in 2024, launched the Astral Paints brand with a phased pan-India rollout across four product lines and multiple regions. He is known for building high-performance teams, strengthening operational discipline, and introducing a market- and brand-led culture across Astral’s emerging verticals. His leadership style is marked by clarity, scale-focused strategy, and a commitment to long-term value creation through innovation, execution, and people development.
