Shawn Lyndon

As Chief Digital Officer at Rio Tinto since November 2023, Shawn established and led the company’s global digital transformation initiatives, focusing on developing innovative digital products to modernize the mining industry. Prior to Rio Tinto, Shawn worked eight years in Google Engineering, where he was most recently Group Product Manager for Google Consumer Trust.  At Google, Shawn conceived and led Enterprise and AI products delivering $80B in revenue and $100M (USD) in reduced credit losses, and later launched multiple user privacy and security products for 2B+ Google Search Users and Google Bard (now Gemini AI).  Prior to Google, Shawn established and led the global Asset Health and Artificial Intelligence product business at ABB (now Hitachi), growing revenue by 300% over 2 years.   Shawn's work reflects a strong foundation in software engineering, data, artificial intelligence, product management, and design, driving impactful results in technology and innovation.
