View LinkedIn ProfileExecutive Overview
I hold two connected mandates at Citizens: EVP and Chief Financial Officer of the Consumer Bank — approximately $120B in deposits, $70B in loans, and $50B in assets under management — and leader of Enterprise Finance Transformation. As Consumer Bank CFO, I guide capital deployment, financial strategy, and performance management, weighing risks and opportunities to support profitable growth. As transformation leader, I am driving AI adoption across finance — prioritizing applications in forecasting, reporting, and analysis, with appropriate human review and controls — alongside automation, standardized workflows, and better data and management information, so finance spends less time producing numbers and more time driving decisions. Just as important is the cultural work: building AI fluency and new ways of working across the finance organization.Earlier at Citizens (2022–2025), as EVP & CFO for Consumer, Small Business, and Private Bank & Wealth, I led a 60-person finance organization across businesses with roughly $154B in deposits. I led the Consumer Bank's turnaround and capital redeployment toward a relationship-focused model, and launched our Private Bank after the Q1 2023 banking failures — building it to $14B in deposits at approximately a 25% return on capital within two years. What differentiates my career: I have not only run large-scale finance organizations — I have run a business. For eight years at PNC I led the Consumer and Small Business Credit Card division end to end — direct P&L, strategy, products, digital, and operations. We tripled annual new account production from roughly 200,000 to 600,000, grew balances from $4B to $7B and transaction volume from $12B to $20B, improved net income from approximately $200MM to $300MM, and achieved J.D. Power top performance in loyalty and customer satisfaction. Before PNC: CFO of Morgan Stanley's Private Bank, where we converted the legal entity to a nationally chartered bank and secured OCC approval; CFO of Capital One's Retail & Direct Bank, including financial integration of the ING Direct acquisition; CFO of Deposits at Ally as deposits grew from $2B to more than $20B; CFO & COO of Wachovia's credit and debit card businesses; and Card Services CFO at Bank of America for a $62B card business.B.S. Accounting, Virginia Tech, cum laude. Passed the CPA exam on the first attempt. Six Sigma Green Belt and DFSS certified. Financial rigor, an operator's mindset, and a bias for action.
