With over 25 years of experience in Banking Technology, I have been instrumental in architecting and launching two new-age digital banks—driving transformation across digital onboarding, payments modernization, financial inclusion, and enterprise-scale platform engineering. My expertise spans Digital KYC, Enterprise Wallets, UPI architecture and commercial use cases, merchant acquiring, payment gateway integrations, BC-based assisted banking, and cross-border payment platforms. I work closely with business and product leadership to convert platform capabilities into high-impact revenue and efficiency drivers, leveraging strong domain knowledge across UPI, PG integration, collections, mandates, and merchant ecosystems. I also bring extensive experience in regulatory compliance, RBI audits, cybersecurity, and technology governance. My global exposure across the UK, Middle East, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia has shaped a deep understanding of banking behavior, operational landscapes, and customer expectations across APAC, Europe, and MENA. Technically, I have led transformation programs across AS400, Java/JSP, Kafka, TIBCO, IBM IIB (ESB), Finacle, and modern cloud-native stacks. I apply ITIL and CMMi best practices and am SCJP certified. In my current role as Head of IT at Jio Payments Bank, I define technology strategy, modernize platforms, and participate in board-level discussions on architecture evolution, risk posture, and investment planning. I also champion operational efficiency through automation and AI-driven workflows, reducing manual effort, accelerating response times, and strengthening stability across mission-critical platforms. My strengths include large-scale transformation, ODC/Offshore delivery leadership, supplier governance, infrastructure and cloud strategy, platform resilience, and ensuring operational excellence across core banking and payments ecosystems.
