EPL Limited (Formerly Essel Propack Limited) is the world's largest laminated tube manufacturer with a global manufacturing and revenue footprint. My role as CFO is to partner with the business to drive profitable growth, manage risk and compliance, lead investor engagement and create stakeholders' value.

Hariharan Nair holds a master’s degree in polymer engineering from IIT – Delhi. He started his career with Reliance Industries Limited in 1998 and has also worked for G E Plastics and E. I. DuPont India Pvt. Ltd before joining EPL in 2017. He has over 20 years of experience in the Indian polymer Industry. In his career, he has been exposed to leadership roles in technology, business development and technical sales. As Vice President – Creativity & Innovation, Mr. Nair’s job entails conceptualizing, designing and developing new products, processes and applications. Besides interacting with customers and vendors for new product development, he also engages himself in facilitating fundamental research projects on sustainability.

Essel is the largest laminated tube company in the world, serving customers such as Colgate, P&G, Unilever, L’Oreal, and GSK. 1 out of every 3 toothpaste tubes consumed globally are produced by the company. With sales of 8 billion tubes and $400 million, Essel is part of the NYC based Blackstone, largest PE firm worldwide with holdings of $500+ billion. * President and General Manager for Essel Propack Americas, with operations in the US, Mexico and Colombia. Member of Essel’s Corporate Leadership Team. * Responsible for profitability, growth and strategic direction of this $100 million business, as well as the day-to-day activities of 600+ co-workers. * Grew sales by 20% and profits by 45% in the first 2 years ─ driven by market share gains, geographic expansion, and massive diversification into Hair Care + Pharma (vs. Oral care). * Led unprecedented investment in the Region (~$40 mil in 3 years) including the largest tubing line with top seal in the Western hemisphere, the 1st digital printer, zero-defect vision systems on all lines, and the acquisition of the Danville site. * Engineered Colombia’s and Mexico’s turnaround. * Proactively averted a union threat at the US, Danville site. * Conducted the first VOC (Voice Of the Customer) assessment in a decade. * Re-structured the Americas Leadership team, 60% change of my direct reports.
