Gilead Sciences' organizational chart is led by Daniel O'Day, who serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer. Reporting directly to the CEO are several key executives, including Dietmar Berger, Chief Medical Officer, who oversees the Virology business unit and the Medicine sub-function within Clinical Services; Johanna Mercier, Chief Commercial & Corporate Affairs Officer; and Andrew Dickinson, Chief Financial Officer, who heads the global Finance function. Under the Information Technology function led by Global CIO and SVP IT Anna Berg Asberg, the Information Security sub-function is managed by VP and Chief Information Security Officer Krishnan Chellakarai, with Executive Director of Information Security Peter Huynh and Deputy CISO/Executive Director & Head of Security Architecture, Engineering, and Delivery James Brady (PhD, CHCIO, CDH-E, CISM, CISRC, CISSP, QTE, NACD.DC, FCHIME, FHIMSS) also serving within that function. Within the Virology business unit, Christian Ramers holds the position of Executive Director, Global Medical Affairs – Virology, under the Medicine and Clinical Services functions.
