View LinkedIn ProfileExecutive Overview
Ms Clayton serves on the boards of Duke Energy, NXP Semiconductors, Oshkosh Corporation, Nordson Corporation and Flash. She is the Former Chairwoman and CEO of North America for Schneider Electric. Passionate about customers and the paths to decarbonization. First by reducing energy across the enterprise using data, second by replacing one energy source for a decarbonized alternative and third by engaging the wider value chain as part of the journey as supply chain emissions are 11.4 times higher on average than operational emissions. Supply chains are often the largest part of an organizations carbon footprint. I see a future of zero, zero waste, zero emissions, and a zero carbon future is within our grasp. Much of the technology and methods to get us there already exist. What we need now is the collective commitment from all to take the next step, whether it’s their first, second or hundredth on the path to sustainability. Ms. Clayton was the chairwoman of Schneider Electric North America, the largest operating region for Schneider Electric, a multinational corporation specializing in energy management and automation solutions through March 2024. She served as Chief Executive Officer for the region from April 2022 through December 2023, and Chief Executive Officer and President from June 2016 until April 2022. She was the company’s Chief Supply Chain Officer from May 2011 until January 2019. In addition, she has served as a member of the Executive Committee since May 2011. Prior to her employment at Schneider Electric, Ms. Clayton served at Dell, Inc. as Vice President of Global Supply Chain Operations and Vice President of Americas Operations, and at General Motors as President of their Saturn subsidiary, Corporate Vice President of Global Quality, and a member of their strategy board. Ms. Clayton previously served on the board of directors of Polaris Inc. for 18 years until 2021 and currently serves on the board of Duke Energy and NXP Semiconductors.
