I am a technology and business leader with more than four decades of experience translating materials science, emerging technologies and innovation into commercially successful products, processes and businesses.Most recently, I served as Chief Technology Officer of Aditya Birla Group and CEO of Aditya Birla Science and Technology Company. Earlier in my career, I held senior technology, business and operations leadership positions with DuPont, INVISTA and Battelle.My experience spans the full journey from technology to business value — identifying opportunities, assessing technologies, developing and scaling them, working with customers and business leaders, establishing manufacturing capabilities, and ultimately commercializing products and technologies.My areas of particular experience include:• Technology strategy, assessment, scale-up and commercialization• Materials science across polymers, fibers, metals and ceramics• Fiber, pulp and textile technologies and value chains• Textile circularity and recycling• Technology licensing, acquisitions and strategic partnerships• Startup and external technology evaluation• Customer, market and application development• Manufacturing productivity, quality and sustainability At Aditya Birla Group, I led the development and commercialization of lyocell technology from laboratory and pilot stages to an 80-ton/day commercial plant, helping validate the technology and commercial pathway for subsequent capacity expansion. I also helped develop the Liva Reviva circularity program, including tracer technology enabling traceability from pulp through fiber, yarn and fabric, and worked with startups and external partners on textile recycling technologies.Earlier, at DuPont, INVISTA and GE/Battelle, I worked across advanced polymers, fibers, composites, ceramics, metals and materials-processing technologies, with extensive experience in customer engagement, application development, manufacturing and industrial commercialization.I am now selectively interested in working with companies where my experience can help address significant technology, commercialization, growth or strategic challenges — particularly as a Strategic Advisor, Board member or advisor to technology-driven startups and established businesses.
