Plans are nothing, planning is everything. - Philip Kotler Over a rapidly progressive career span of 17+ years, I have gained extensive exposure and expertise in the various facets of the financial and accounting functions across the FMCG, retail and automotive industries both in India and abroad. Currently, I am the CFO of a leading listed company in India with about billion dollar retail turnover. My role requires direct liaisons and coordination with the company Board of Directors, management of active PE investors, fund raising (equity/non-equity), stakeholder management, risk management, long term business planning, operational excellence and more. During my professional journey, I have been part of several challenging situations such as business transformation, fund raising, de-mergers, acquisitions, re-organization and have contributed to the organization’s quest for business stability and future growth. Over the years, I have set up and headed finance function/FP&A /Commercial finance/center of excellence for finance on national levels, drove achievement of P&L and other business growth targets, coordinated on global, national and regional levels with internal and external stakeholders, implemented ERP systems, leveraged technology and finance analytics to formulate long/short term strategies and business plans, developed innovative tools and methodologies to improve performance, liaised with external consultants like McKinsey, BCG and AT Kearney, optimized cost saving measures, processes and policies, provided business insights and recommendations, improved business reporting and dashboards, managed financial accounting, developed governance and control framework and ensured compliance with internal/external audits(including big 4's) and SOX. I have gained the recognition as One of the Youngest Listed Companies CFO in India.
