I am a hands-on technology leader responsible for enterprise digital products and platforms, leading organisations from strategy formulation through execution, with a focus on resilience, scalability, security, and alignment with business goals and the regulatory mandate. My expertise lies in aligning technology strategy and its execution with overarching business objectives within risk, compliance and regulatory frameworks. I have spearheaded digital product development and technology modernisation initiatives, resulting in the enhancement of tech platforms for stability, security, resiliency, and regulatory compliance. Simultaneously, I have led initiatives to increase velocity of product development and operational efficiency by implementing data-driven and agile software development practices, site reliability and chaos engineering. I have successfully established a high-performing engineering organisation from the ground up and formulated a technology strategy aligned with product and business vision to support exponential business growth and cost optimisation by automation and streamlining of manual processes. I have guided the adoption of cloud-native, distributed and event-driven micro-service architectures, and data analytics and machine learning while also driving infrastructure modernisation efforts. Moreover, my engineering team and I have filed 17 patent applications, with 14 successfully granted by the US Patent Office. These patents are about distributed systems and AI/ML in diverse business contexts. I have a deep expertise and keen interest in the ever-evolving field of system design and architecture and actively engage in industry discussions and contribute articles, particularly on distributed systems, micro-services, event-driven architecture, reactive, non-blocking and asynchronous applications, containerisation, container orchestration, and functional programming. I am constantly seeking to expand my knowledge in advancing fields of AI and ML, specifically on Bayesian optimisation, Gaussian Processes, Deep Reinforcement Learning, and Information Theory.
